Recently
at the S.F. Divisional Mike Dejesus put together a picture perfect
weekend and won both days by a distance over three different National
Champions Frank Stagnero, Mike Maier, and Guy Ankeny. This wasn't just
luck, Mike has devoted a numerous hours of labor and many used resources
over the last several years to achieve this since he had started with
this car. He has replaced the motor with a Bob Wirth 302, Jericho transmission
and a custom Maier Racing K-Member. The interior has gotten a face
lift as well. Mike did all of his own aluminum paneling which turned
out awesome. New seat, pedal assembly, steering column, and more..
Great job Mike from all of us at Maier Racing. |

Letter from previous owner. The car was bought in December 1991; the days of a daily driver had been numbered, and then stored for three years. Since then the Mustang has undergone changes ever since. Some of the parts consist of a Griggs torque arm and Pan hard bar, K member, Koni adjustable shocks and struts, Baer brakes 13 in. rotors, 8.8” rear end with 9 in. bearing caps, custom dash and steering shaft, 16” X 12” wheels Goodyear tires. I would like to take a moment to say thank you to Mike Maier for his willingness to recommend and discuss various proven methods of racecar setups. I am proof of Mike’s incredible talent to design and fabricate custom applications. A recently installed 10 point roll cage, has given me the ability to fine tune the suspension components which in turn has helped me reach some personal goals as an amateur driver. Thanks again to Mike and Maier Racing Enterprises for all their hard work and effort. Respectfully, -Marc Detka |
