2004 Racing Season at a Glance
Michael Maier 2004 SCCA  Solo2 National Champion  Michael Maier kicked off the 2004 season with great momentum from the previous year. During the 2003 season Michael laid claim to the American Auto-X championship, which consisted of 14 races. He won all but two that resulted in second place finishes. Michael also won the SCCA Solo2 National tour event at Atwater, California. He finished the season in 2nd place by only a tenth of a second at the Solo2 Nationals in Topeka Kansas, which featured 57 other entries from all over the U.S. in the C Prepared class.
Michael Maier 2004 SCCA  Solo2 National Champion  The 2004 season further proved that 2003 was not a stroke of luck. This year Michael Maier started the season at the SCCA tour event in San Diego, California with a trophy finish in fourth place. The following SCCA tour event took place in Atwater, California presenting Michael with home track advantage. He was quick to capitalize on his position and took first place home that weekend. During the summer of 2004 he was also running the American Auto-X Series, consisting of 16 races. He dominated all but 3 races where he finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, respectively. Just before the end of the season Michael made his way to the Solo 2 National runoffs in Topeka Kansas. His trip was an eventful one with Michael capturing the national championship by overcoming 45 other entries in the C Prepared class. Finalizing the year he ran the last weekend of American Auto-X series and clinched the series for a second year in a row.
  For the 2005 season Michael Maier is making some changes to the power train in his 1993 C Prepared Mustang GT. He is also performing some suspension refinements to stay ahead of the game. While this is happening Michael is also gearing up to build a 2005 Mustang for the C Prepared class bringing forth a completely new approach to Auto-X chassis setup.
